About

Dr. Jody Downhill’s career in veterinary medicine is rooted in a lifelong connection to animals. Raised with a wide variety of pets and surrounded by horses from an early age, she developed a deep respect for animal health, behavior, and welfare. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University and completing her ECFVG internship through Oklahoma State University, she went on to work as an emergency veterinarian before opening Fallbrook Veterinary Clinic in 2003.

Balancing the demands of practice ownership with hands-on veterinary care, Dr. Downhill has built a career defined by hard work, consistency, and long-term dedication. She values the relationships formed with pet owners just as much as the medical outcomes, often caring for multiple generations of both animals and families. Despite the challenges of long hours and few days off, her passion for veterinary medicine continues to drive her work, making her practice a cornerstone of compassionate animal care in the community.
